Services for Richard P. Connolly, 47, 1603 Central Ave., formerly of Farley, Iowa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley.

Burial will be in the church cemetery, where there will be a flag presentation by the American Legion Post 656, of Farley. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 8 p.m.

Mr. Connolly worked at Ronell Industries, Dubuque.

He was born on Sept. 2, 1948, in Cascade, Iowa, son of Paul J. and Mary M. (Driscoll) Connolly. He died after a brief illness at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 1996, at the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Iowa City.

He graduated from Western Dubuque High School, Epworth, and was an Army veteran.

Surviving are his mother, Mary Connolly, of Farley; three sisters, Mrs. Janann (Gerald) Weber, of Dyersville, Iowa, Mrs. Diann (Rodney) Mozena, of Dubuque, and Mrs. Mary (Mark) Smith, of Manchester, Iowa; four brothers, Lyle (Bonnie) Connolly, of Davenport, Iowa, Steven (Vicky) Connolly, of Dubuque, Gerard (Judy) Connolly, of Farley, and Keith (and friend, Kris) Connolly, of Northglen, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul J. Connolly, on April 27, 1968.

A Richard P. Connolly Memorial Fund has been established.
