COLESBURG, Iowa - Sheila Mae (Divis) Bolsinger, 73, of Colesburg, died peacefully Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at her home in Colesburg, surrounded by her loving family.

Friends and relatives of Sheila may call from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Dyersville. Services for Sheila will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colesburg, with the Rev. Stephen A. Lundgren presiding. Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Farley.

Sheila was born Oct. 21, 1940, in Chicago, daughter of Rudolph and Suzanne (Mahoney) Divis. She was a graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School. On Dec. 11, 1966, she was united in marriage to Robert Bolsinger in Asbury.

Sheila and Robert made their home in Dubuque until 1967; they then moved to Farley, where they lived with their children and fostered several others through the years. During this time, Sheila worked at A.Y. McDonald as a secretary from 1965 to 1980. In the summer of 1980, they moved to Colesburg, where Sheila worked at The Hub until 1981. In the fall of 1981, Sheila and Robert owned and operated The Deluxe Cafe until it closed in October 1991. Soon after, Sheila went to work at Products Unlimited until it closed; she then retired.

In 2005, Sheila was diagnosed with four different types of cancer in her lungs, and over the past nine years she has fought a very courageous battle.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Parish.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Bolsinger, of Colesburg; three children, Jeffery (Terri) Bolsinger, of Sarasota, Fla., Dawn (Jammie) Martin, of Colesburg, and Jennifer (Michael) Hambright, of Stanley, N.C.; 15 grandchildren, Chad Bolsinger, Brad (Ana) Bolsinger, Christopher Bolsinger, Emily Bolsinger, Robert (RJ) Martin, Chase Martin, Ryan Martin, Mellyssa Boyd, Cody (Shoshanna) Martin, Jacob Bolsinger, SuzAnne Hambright, ShyAnne Hambright, Heaven Hambright, Michael Hambright Jr. and Ashley Melchert; and four great-grandchildren, Liliana Bolsinger, Isaiah Regan, Crystal Colner and Adrian Martin.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Suzanne Elizabeth Bolsinger, on Oct. 4, 1968.
