Carol A. Boge, 61, of 1695 Mount Pleasant, Dubuque, formerly of Farley, Iowa, died at noon Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Ennoble Manor, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 3:30 to 7 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4:30 p.m.

She was born on May 10, 1944, in Dyersville, Iowa, daughter of Cletus and Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Ricken) Boge.

She received her education in the Union Country School and St. Joseph's School, Farley.

Carol was special. She loved people and loved to visit with them. She dearly loved her mother, whom she had to say good-bye to two years ago. Carol loved reading, crossword puzzles and her soap operas. Her life was wrapped around her family who loved her so.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Farley.

Surviving are three siblings, Donna (Kenneth) Biermann and Jerry (Jane) Boge, both of Farley, and Norma Pfohl, of Dubuque; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Pat Pfohl.

A Carol A. Boge Memorial Fund has been established.

A special thanks to Dr. Schulte's staff at Medical Associates East, her family at Mount Pleasant, Dubuque, Ennoble Manor, and Hospice for their care for her and to the very special friends of Carol's who visited Carol so often and were there for her.
