DIED-

HORFORD-In this city, on the morning of the 5th inst., Emily A. Horford, wife of Sgt. Albert W. Horford, of Company G, 1st Iowa Cavalry, aged 24 years. The funeral services will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock, at the residence of her father, corner of Main and 10th streets.

The night is so dreary,
And while the dark shadows our hearts did enfold,
White robed and immortal,
And walked with her Lord on His pavement of gold,
Her sins all foregiven, her sorrows all told."
