FARLEY, Iowa - Grace M. Bell, 73, of 105 Sixth Ave. NW, Farley, died at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m. The Farley Fire Department will meet at 7 p.m. and the Farley American Legion will meet at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Bell worked as a cook and waitress at Kertels Corner Cafe, Western Dubuque School and Oasis Cafe, in Farley, and later at Country Junction, in Dyersville, until her retirement in 1999.

She was born on Oct. 6, 1931, in Farley, daughter of Tony and Laurabell (Kenneally) Klostermann. She married Donald H. Bell on Dec. 30, 1954, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley; he preceded her in death on May 30, 1994.

She received her education in the former St. Joseph's School and the Farley Public Schools.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society, Farley.

Surviving are four children, Deb (Russell) Schuster, of Maryville, Mo., Ronald (Karla) Bell, Cindy Bell, and Randy (Rhonda) Bell, all of Farley; nine grandchildren, Jason Schuster, of Kansas City, Mo., Angie Schuster, of Maryville, Mo., LCpl Brandon Schuster, USMC-R, currently in Iraq, SPC Jesse Bell-USA-R, Andrew Bell, Matt Bell, Jeremy Bell, Ben Bell and Trevor Bell, all of Farley; a special cousin, Rick (Laura) Blanchard, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Wilfred Kertels; a brother, Ronald Klostermann; and a sister, Jeannine Carton.

A Grace M. Bell Memorial Fund has been established.

The family of Grace would like to thank the Mercy Medical Center Emergency Room staff and the nurses and doctors in the Intensive Care Unit for all the wonderful care given to Grace.
