Services for Catherine B. Schwendinger, 83, of Cuba City, Wis., formerly of Dubuque and Epworth, Iowa, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Epworth. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. Thursday at the Reiff Funeral Home, Epworth, where the parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Schwendinger was an occupational therapist and a cook at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, until her retirement.
She was born Sept 2, 1904 in Dubuque, daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Steckle) Clearly. She died at 2 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 1988, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donald (Marjorie) Sauegling of Farley, Iowa.
She married Alphonse Schwendinger April 10, 1923 in Dubuque. Her husband died Dec. 13, 1977.
Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. Sauegling, are three other daughters, Kathleen McKillip of Boscobel, Wis., Mrs. Fred (Virginia) McGovern of Peosta, Iowa, and Mrs. Roy (Rosemary) Weydert of Dehli, Iowa; five sons, Anthony of Boscobel, Wis., Robert and Donald of Seneca, Wis., John of Dubuque and James of Cuba City; 48 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Lou (Elizabeth) Raines of Dubuque.
