WORTHINGTON, Iowa - Doris J. Ostwinkle, 78, of Worthington, died of cancer, Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial in St. Paul Cemetery, both in Worthington. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be an Altar and Rosary Society rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish scripture service at 7 p.m.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1920, daughter of Anton and Blanche (Nichols) Jaeger.

She married Leo H. Ostwinkle on Nov. 27, 1941, in Dyersville. They farmed in the Worthington area all their lives. Mr. Ostwinkle died in 1995.

Surviving are five sons, Mark (Joan) Ostwinkle, of Bellevue, Dick (Carol) Ostwinkle, of Bankston, John (Lynette) Ostwinkle, of Dyersville, Jim (Denise) Ostwinkle, of Worthington, and Tony (Pam) Ostwinkle, of Edgewood; two daughters, Lois (Bill) Burger, of Worthington, and Julie (Russ) Reicher, of Dyersville; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; six sisters-in-law, Gladys Jaeger, Anna Mae Ostwinkle, Katherine Ludwig, Margaret Ostwinkle, DelRose Ostwinkle and Mary Ostwinkle; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dottie and Ede Tobin.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Forrest Jaeger.
