Donald F. "Don" Lambert, 78 of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014, at his home.

Funeral Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 10th, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd, with Sister Mary Agnes O'Connor, BVM officiating. Family and friends may gather after 4:00 p.m. until time of services Friday.

Don was born on June 17, 1936 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Sylvester and Lillian (Kopel) Lambert. He married Carol Ann Connolly on February 7, 1959 at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church.

He worked at Dubuque John Deere Tractor Works for 25 years in the foundry until retirement. He is a member of the UAW local #94 and St. Patrick Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Carol; four children, Larry Lambert, of Dubuque, Lisa (Gary Freihoefer) Lambert, of Dubuque, Sheila (Jack) Owen, of Florida, and Mike Lambert of Holy Cross. Eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Lambert, of Dubuque. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert; niece, Geanne Lambert; and a nephew, John Allen Lambert.
