DELORES DENNISON MICHAUD

JEFFERSON, S.D. -- Dolores A. Michaud, 81, of Chandler, Ariz., formerly of Jefferson, died Friday, July 22, 2011, from complications related to Alzheimer's disease.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson, with the Rev. David Roehrich officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in Dolores' honor following the graveside service at St. Peter's hall. All are welcome to attend. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.

Dolores, the daughter of Earl and Marcella (Palen) Dennison, was born May 26, 1930, in Sioux City. She graduated from the University of South Dakota and taught elementary education for many years.

Dolores married Frank Michaud on Dec. 26, 1950, in Jefferson. Frank and Dolores relocated to East Moline, Ill., in 1969 and retired to Chandler, Ariz. in 1996.

She actively enjoyed golf, bridge, shuffle board, and swimming. She participated extensively in the activities of the community.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank, of Chandler; two daughters, Barbara, of Mesa, Ariz., and Carol, of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a brother, Bill Dennison of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two sisters, Mary Fornia of Jefferson and Kathleen Rick of Rapid City, S.D.
