EPWORTH, Ia., -- John F. Schwendinger, Sr., 87, Epworth, died at the home of his son, John, Jr., at Epworth Friday morning.
Funeral services are pending at the Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, Ia.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
Survivors include three sons, Alfonse J., Boscobel, Wis., Henry G., Downey, Calif., and John, Jr.; one step-son, Leo Steckel, Cedar Rapids, Ia.; two brothers, Joseph, Dubuque and William, Earlville, Ia.; four sisters, Sister Mary Floriana, O.S.F., St. Francis Home, Dubuque, Mrs. Mary Winters, New Hampton, Ia., Mrs. Peter (Caroline) George, Farley, and Mrs. Rose Kehoe, Lawler, Ia., 23 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home by members of St. Patrick's Holy Name Society.
