Elizabeth Hogan Died at Farley

Was Eighty Years Old And Has Many Survivors; Funeral Friday

Farley, Iowa, April 22-Mrs. Elizabeth Hogan died at ther home here Wednesday afternoon after an illness of five days as a result of cerebral aploplexy. Mrs. Hogan was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hoover and was born Oct. 17, 1851, in Pennsylvania. She was married to Daniel Hogan in Farley and she has resided in this community ever since. Mrs. Hogan is survived by eight children, Dr. F.E. Hogan, Mound City, Mo. Dr. L.J. Hogan, Charlestown, S.C.; Mrs. Herman Klein, Onania, Minn., Mrs. Gene Stroh, Sanborn, N.D., J.A. Hogan, Mrs. Frank Daly and Daniel Hogan, all of Farley, and Mrs. James Arnold of Earlville. All of her children were here. The Funeral services were held on Friday morning at nine o'clock from her home to St. Joseph's Catholic Chruch, Rev. P.J. Coffey sang a requiem mass in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. Members of the W.C.O.F. attended the funeral in a body. The casket was borne by Messrs. John Ronan, Joseph Veach, John Comer, John Besler, James Stratton, and E.F. Breen. Interment was made in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
