Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Monday, 27 April 1903.

Clarence Elmer Maxwell, the nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Maxwell, who resides at Richardsville, passed away at the home of his parents at half past six o'clock Sunday evening, after a week's illness with pneumonia.

Deceased was a bright boy, growing into manhood. He had a large number of associates who held him in high regard. He was a dutiful son, ever ready to do a kind thing for his friends as well as his parents.

Funeral will be held Tuesday morning at nine o'clock from the late family residence to Sherrils Mounds, where services will be conducted over the remains and interment will be made.

NOTES:

Richardsville is Rickardsville and Sherrils Mounds is Sherrill, both in Dubuque County, Iowa.
