November 2, 1918 - August 21, 2012Theda was born on Nov 2nd, 1918 in Olmetz, Iowa to Arthur and Margaret Gilman. She passed away in Norwalk, Iowa on Aug. 21, 2012.
She attended school at a small country school in Williamson.
Theda married William (Bill) Hyde on March 28, 1936 in Chariton and lived in Des Moines most of their lives.
She loved music, dancing and fishing and most of all, supporting all the activities her grandsons participated in during their high school and college years. After they grew up, Theda loved to play bingo, slot machines in addition to spending hours working on word puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter Shirley Miller, her sister Lois Stouffer, 3 grandsons...Mark (Pat) of Montrose, IA, Mitch (Lyn) of Frisco, TX, Mike (Keri) of Prosper, TX, Marsha Miller of Manhattan, KS and 6 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 1 step great-grandchild, and 2 great-great step grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margaret Gilman, her brother Richard Gilman, her sister Maxine Westman, her husband, William Hyde and grandson Martin Miller. ~ The Pierschbacher Funeral Home, Chariton, Iowa Aug 2012.
