OBITUARY

At 5:15 o'clock last evening occurred the death of John F. Kessler at his home 1376 Washington street, whose age was 79 years. Deceased came to this country in 1844, landing at Cincinnati, where he remained until 1852, when he came to Dubuque, where he has ever since resided. He is survived by four sons and two daughters, all of whom are grown up. Deceased was a quiet, upright man, who was admired for his noble character. The funeral will take place Saturday morning at St. Mary's church.
