DEATH OF CALEB SADLER

A former well known resident of Dubuque has passed to the great beyond. A San Francisco paper announced the death of Caleb Sadler as follows:
"In St. Helena April 23, Caleb, beloved husband of Lydia H. Sadler, and father of Charles M., Frank E. and William T. Sadler, Mrs. S. G. Nelson, Mrs. B. K. Denbegh and Mrs. W. J. Phillips; a native of Birmingham, England, aged 69 years, 5 months and 7 days." Mr. Sadler lived in this city during the years 1860-1870 and engaged in the crockery trade, occupying for a time the corner of Main and Sixth streets, where the Dubuque National Bank now stands. In that time a frame structure occupied the site with a barber shop upstairs. The family moved to Oakland, California, wheere Mr. Sadler engaged in the sewing machine trade.
