Farley, Iowa

Services for Bernard "Ben" Anstoetter, 94, formerly of Farley, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, Farley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. (rest of paragraph omitted)

Mr. Anstoetter was born Sept. 27, 1893 in Dyersville, son of Herman and Gertrude (Erdmann) Anstoetter. He died Sunday morning, Feb. 21, 1988, at Stonehill Care Center. He attended St. Francis Xavier School in Dyersville, and married Ludwina Kramer Nov. 18, 1919, in Dyersville. They farmed in the Farley area until they retired in 1959. He was a 50-year member of the KC and St. Joseph Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Charles and Gerald, both of Farley, and John of Dubuque; five daughters, Mrs. John (Marion) Bell of Dyersville, Sister Marirose, RSM, of Farmington Hill, Mich., Mrs. Francis (Esther) Joyce of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Eugene (Alice) Wieser of New Providence, N.J., and Mrs. Kenneth (Mildred) Koehler of Forsyth, Ill.; 33 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchilddren; and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Thillen of Dyersville.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Bernard Jr. April 17, 1964, and Donald Nov 26, 1973.
