Robert F. Schweikert

Services for Robert F. "Bob" Schweikert, 67, of 1048 W. Locust St. will be at 11 a.m,. Thursday at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road.

Burial will be in Linwood cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Schweikert was a test mechanic in the experimental department at John Deere Dubuque Works for 23 years before his retirement on June 1, 1984.

He was born on July 20, 1922, in Dubuque, son of Fred and Hattie (Gere) Schweikert. He died at 3 p.m. Monday, April 2, 1990, at The Finley Hospital.

He married Evelyn E. Maus; she survives.

He grew up in Dubuque and graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1940. He was a World War II Army veteran, a lifetime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and a member of the United Auto Workers, Local 94, and the John Deere Retirees Club.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marty (Sonja) Arensdorf of Dubuque and Mrs. Rick (Cindy) Eudaley of Earlville, Iowa; a son, Thomas of Dubuque, and eight grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Wendt Regional Cancer Center at The Finley Hospital and St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
