Roland A. Weiland

Services for Roland A. Weiland, 43, of 2730 Burden Ave. will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Behr's where the Scripture Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Weiland died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Xavier Hospital. He was born in Dubuque and had been employed at the Dubuque Packing Co. He was a member of the Amvets, the Amalgamated Meat Cutters & Butcher Workman Local 150, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Izaak Walton League, the Sacred Heart Holy Name society and an Army veteran. His wife, the former Ivanella Link, died in March 1971.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Steve (Pam) LuGrain of Dubuque, and Diane Weiland at home; a son, Darrell F. Weiland at home; his mother, Mrs. Mildred Weiland; a sister, Mrs. Rudy (Betty) Strickland, and two brothers James and Thomas Weiland, all of Dubuque.
