Alvina Neumeister

Services for Mrs. Albert (Alvina Hohnecker) Neumeister, 91, of 1028 University Ave. will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Egelhof-Casper-Strueber Funeral Home, 1145 Main St.

Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Neumeister worked at Genz stores for many years.

She was born on Dec. 8, 1899, in Dubuque, daughter of Fred and Margaret (Holst) Hohnecker. She died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 1991, at The Finley Hospital.

She married Albert Neumeister on March 28, 1925 in Dubuque; he died on April 30, 1968.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine.

Surviving are two sons, Tom of Dubuque and Dan of Lincoln, Neb.; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

An Alvina Neumeister Memorial Fund has been established.
