BERNARD, Iowa - Kenneth J. Hudders, 54, of 21701 Pleasant Drive, Bernard, died at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, Dubuque. There will be a gathering following the services at the Dubuque Boat Club. Burial will be at a later date.

Mr. Hudders worked in product support at John Deere Dubuque Works for 23 years, receiving various recognitions for Excellence in Action.

He was born on Oct. 6, 1949, in Geneseo, Ill., son of Herman P. and Lenora M. (Bentley) Hudders. He married Virginia L. Pregler on Oct. 12, 1996, in Dubuque.

He was a long-standing member of the Dubuque Boat Club.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Darci (fiance, Scott Hicks) Hudders, of Milwaukee; and three sisters, Virginia (Ron) Mickley and Patricia (Dave) Vandermyde, both of Morrison, Ill., and Karen (James) Weirsema, of Lyndon, Ill.

A Kenneth J. Hudders Memorial Fund has been established.
