Loretta Ann Pitz, 75, of 1795 Sarah St., died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

There will be no services. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on Feb. 10, 1935, in Dubuque, daughter of Walter and Ruth (Purcell) Burke. She married Dorrance Pitz on June 11, 1955, at St. Raphael's Cathedral.

Lorretta worked in the kitchen at Mount Carmel.

Surviving are her husband, Dorrance, of Dubuque; four children, Thomas Pitz, of Dubuque, Linda Pitz, of Farley, Iowa, Tina (Robert) Hancock and Lisa (Gene) Pitz-Rokusek, both of Dubuque; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a cousin, June Morrow, of Sun City, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Ruth Conrad.
