Jacqueline A. Naber

Jacqueline A. Naber, 71, of Worthington, died at 3:20 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Oakcrest Manor in Dyersville, after a courageous 16 year battle with cancer.

Visitation was Monday, April 29, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Dyersville. Funeral services were Tuesday, April 30, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Worthington, conducted by Rev. Noah Diehm. Lectors were Melissa Even and Deb Gravel. Eucharistic Ministers were Allan White and Kathy White. Placing of the Pall was done by John Naber, Lynne Schultz, Cindy Ludwig, Barb Helle, Kris Rausch, Sandi Feldmann, Larry Naber and Andy Naber. Giftbearers were Christine Feldmann and Jeremy Feldmann.

Burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery in Worthington. Casketbearers were Tim Demmer, Mike Demmer, Randy Helle, David Naber, Mark Gaul and Joe Wessels.

Jacqueline was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Dubuque, daughter of Laverne and Ardella (Rauen) Even. She is a 1959 graduate of St. Francis Xavier School in Dyersville.

On Oct. 1, 1960, she was united in marriage to John Naber at St. Francis Xavier in Dyersville. The couple farmed in the rural Worthington area. She was a member of St. Paul's Parish in Worthington.

She is survived by her husband, John Naber of Worthington; seven children, Lynne (Rob) Schultz of Madison, Wis., Cindy (Bob) Ludwig of Dyersville, Barb (Tom) Helle of Guttenberg, Kris (Bob) Rausch, Sandi (Pat) Feldmann and Larry (Joyce) Naber all of Dyersville and Andy (Erica) Naber of Worthington; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Jerry (Pat) Even of Dyersville, and one sister, Dora (Don) Demmer of Dyersville.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, George and Nellie Naber; a nephew, Terry Gaul.
