Miss Mary L. Byrne, who had been ailing for the past three weeks, died October 31st at 1 o'clock at Mercy hospital. The funeral was held Monday morning from the home of her sister Mrs. Dennis Driscoll, 50 Bluff St. Dubuque, at 8 o'clock to the Sacred Heart church at Fillmore at 9 o'clock. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining St. Patrick's church in Garry Owen. Miss Byrne was born in Prairie Creek and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Byrne. Besides four brothers, Patrick and Edward, of Fillmore, and Henry and Hugh, of Dubuque, she is survived by four sisters, Sister Mary Vincentia, Sister Mary Huberta, of the Sisters of Charity, of Chicago, Mrs. Dennis Driscoll and Mrs. Charles Carroll, of Dubuque.
