Joseph Cassidy Sullivan, 36, of 10535 Key West Drive, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 28, 2003, at his property on Ryan Road.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Key West, Iowa, with the Rev. Donald Bakewell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where there will be a parish wake service at 3 p.m. Members of the Key West Fire Department will meet at 6 p.m., and members of the Dubuque County Firefighters Association will meet at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Sullivan had worked for Roeder Outdoor Power and New Melleray Abbey.

He was born on Oct. 31, 1966, in Dubuque, son of Paul B. and Margaret (Cassidy) Sullivan. He married Nancy Lynch on June 10, 1995, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, La Motte, Iowa.

He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1985, and later attended Northeast Iowa Community College, Peosta.

He was a member of the Key West Fire Department and was a Medical First Responder. He also was a member of the Eagles Club. He loved the outdoors and his pets.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy, of Dubuque; his parents, Paul and Margaret (Cassidy) Sullivan; three brothers, Jim Cassidy (Tonya) Sullivan, Brian Cassidy (Kelly) Sullivan and Mark Cassidy (Brenda) Sullivan, all of Dubuque; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Charlene Lynch, of La Motte; three brothers-in-law, Loren (Chris) Lynch, of Peosta, Wayne (Lisa) Lynch, of Dubuque, and Charles Lynch, of Zwingle, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Gina Lynch, of La Motte; and nieces and nephews.
