Elizabeth L. Moore, 78, of 1665 Iowa St., died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Grace Baptist Church, 1699 Iowa St. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St.

She was born on March 30, 1925, in Dubuque, daughter of George and Leona (Cunningham) Voels.

Elizabeth worked at Dubuque Nursing and Rehab Center for many years, starting as a nurse's aide and as a social worker, prior to her retirement in 1991.

Liz was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church. She was saved in 1984, after becoming baptized into the church. She was considered Grandma to all the church membership.

Surviving are a son, George Moore, of Dubuque; three grandchildren, Laura Moore, Sara (Brad) Spencer and Maria Gullatt; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald (Janice) Voels and Robert Voels, both of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, George, Floyd, Harold, Bill and Henry.
