Dorothy E. Watkins, 95, of Luther Manor, formerly of 2955 Kaufmann Ave., died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at Luther Manor.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

She was born on Nov. 20, 1907, in Dubuque, daughter of Frederick and Mabel (Dunton) Johnson. She was born and raised in Dubuque.

She married Chester W. Watkins on June 26, 1930, at Grandview Avenue United Methodist Church; he passed away on July 9, 1997.

Surviving are a son, William (Margit) Watkins, of Dubuque; a daughter, Sharon (Michael) Chase, of East Dubuque, Ill.; grandchildren, Heidi (Steve) Hohmann and Heather (Michael) Wagner, both of Dubuque, and Kathryn (Michael) Cordell, of Davenport, Iowa; and great-grandchildren, Allison Hohmann and Madeline and Elizabeth Wagner.

She also was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Luther Manor and Hospice of Dubuque.
