Sister Rose Shea, BVM, 69, of Marian Hall, 1050 Carmel Drive, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at Marian Hall.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Marian Hall Chapel. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sister Rose was an elementary and junior high school teacher in Chicago and Clinton, Iowa.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1933, daughter of Timothy Shea and Catherine Condon Shea, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She made her first profession of religious vows on March 19, 1954. She made her final profession of religious vows on July 16, 1959.

Surviving are a sister, Teresa (William) Vogl and a sister-in-law, Alice Shea Lorenz, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nieces and nephews; and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with whom she shared life for 51 years.

Memorials may be given to the Sisters of Charity, BVM Retirement Fund.
