JOHN GALLIART, 1859 - 1912

Mr. John Galliart, one of the highly respected
farmers of Center township, died at his home
Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, Feb. 11, 1912.
His health had been impaired fo the past 6 months, and his condition gradually worsened until death relieved his suffering at the hour named.
Mr. Galliart was born in Dubuque County, Nov. 13,
1859, and had made his home in Dubuque all his
life. He had been successfully engaged in farming
and was regarded by all as a highly respected
member of the community. He leave{s} to mourn
his death his wife, Lucia (Haas), and seven
children, John, Clarence, Rosa, Andrew, Barbara,
Earl and Lucy. Also by four brothers and two
sisters: Andrew, Casper, Chris,William, and
Mrs. William Cottingham, all of Dubuque, and
Mrs. John Kiefer, oif Elburn, Il. Mr. Galliart
was a faithful member of the German Presbyterian
Church of Center township. Interment in the
cemetery adjoining.
