Clarence E. Galliart, 83,of 1976 W. Third St.in Dubuque died at 9 p.m. Sunday at the Shady Care
Center, Cascade, Iowa. Services will be at 1 pm
Wednesday at the Egelhof-Casper Funeral home where
friends may call from 3 pm to 9 pm Tuesday. Burial
will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens. Mr. Galliart
was born in Dubuque and had been employed by the
state highway commission for 40 years. He was a
member of the Centralia Presbyterian Church, the
Epworth post of the American Legion and was a
veteran of World War 1. Surviving are his wife,
the former Cathryn Humke, two daughters, Mrs.
C.J. (Margaret) Callaghan of Dubuque, and Mrs.
Mel (Karen)Taylor of Hawaii; a son, Fred of
Dubuque; six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs.
Barbara Hemmer, of Monticello, Ia. , and Mrs.
Lucia Behnke of Denver, Co., and two brothers,
John and Andrew L., both of Dubuque. Memorials
may be given to Hills and Dales Child Development
Center.
