Norma D. Brady, 79, of ManorCare Health Services, formerly of Lost Nation and Epworth, Iowa, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reiff Funeral Home, Epworth, with the Rev. Paul Skelley officiating. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born on June 6, 1924, in Dubuque, daughter of Samuel and Violet (Boyes) Berger. She married John C. Brady on June 9, 1941, in Epworth.

She was a graduate of the Epworth (Iowa) High School. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church, Lost Nation.

Surviving are two daughters, LuAnn (Dale) Hefel, of Dubuque, and Ramona (John) Earles, of Princeton, Iowa; six sons, Kenneth C. (Sandra) Brady, of Lost Nation, James R. (Donna) Brady, of DeWitt, Iowa, Daniel L. (Donna) Brady, of Hillsboro, Wis., Ronald P. (Pat) Brady, of Altoona, Iowa, David D. Brady, of Iowa City, and Robert J. (Sherri) Brady, of Grand Mound, Iowa; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Theda Hall, of Graf, Iowa; and two brothers, Ivan Berger, of Epworth, and Arthur Berger, of Graf.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John C. Brady, on Sept. 10, 2001; a brother, Samuel Berger; and a sister, Elizabeth Goetzinger.

A Norma D. Brady Memorial Fund has been established.

The family of Norma would like to thank Dr. Sullivan, The Finley Hospital third floor medical and the ManorCare staff for all the wonderful care given to Norma.
