Mark O'Leary, 85, of Fargo, N.D., formerly of Dubuque, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at the Roger Maris Cancer Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Newman Center-St. Paul's Catholic Chapel, Fargo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo.

Mr. O'Leary was a partner and president of Kelly Brothers International Harvesters Dealership, Fargo, until his retirement in 1992.

He was born on Aug. 2, 1918, in Dubuque, son of Daniel and Gertrude O'Leary. He grew up in Dubuque. He married Helen Kelly in 1941, in Fargo.

He attended the University of Notre Dame on a football scholarship and graduated from Loras College, Dubuque, in 1941. While attending school, he was a professional boxer, fighting under the name of Dutch Green. He ended his career with a record of 37-0.

In 1943, he joined the Marine Corps and served in World War II in the Marianna Islands and Japan until his discharge in 1945.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Helen; four sons, Michael (Karyl), Timothy (Deb) and Terry (June), all of Fargo, and Bill (Kendall), of Whitefish, Mont.; five daughters, Patty O'Leary, of Minneapolis, Peggy Weaver, of Woodland Hills, Calif., Judy (Don) Heppner, of Whitefish, Jean (Allen) Hanson, of Woodland Hills, and Kitty O'Leary, of Fargo; 27 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Danny (Ida), of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Bill, of St. Augustine, Fla.; two sisters, Dorothy (Phil) Lochner, of Dubuque, and Jean (John) McKay, of Marshalltown, Iowa; a sister-in-law, LuRose Icavino, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Mullen; and a sister-in-law, Rosemary O'Leary.
