Earl J. Miller, 81, of Wayzata, Minn., formerly of Dubuque, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, in Wayzata.
Private family burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. The Cremation Society of Minnesota, Edina, is in charge of arrangements
Mr. Miller worked at and retired from A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co., Dubuque. After retirement, he lived in Mesa, Ariz., for 10 years.
He was born and raised in Eau Claire, Wis. He was a veteran of World War II, serving primarily in India-Burma. He was past president of Thunderhills Golf and Country Club, Peosta, Iowa.
Surviving are a son, John (Lisa); five grandchildren, Justin, Joel, Chad, Lindsay and Chelsey; and a brother, LaVerne (Betty).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma, in 2001.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Earl Miller to the First Tee of Three Rivers Park District, 2935 Parkview Drive, Medina, Minn. 55340.
