Prominent County Resident Is Dead

Mrs. Louisa Tinkham Is Summoned Early Sunday

Mrs. Louisa Tinkham, beloved wife of Andrew Tinkham, died at the Finley hospital Sunday morning at 3:30 o'clock, following a short illness. She was born at Guttenberg, Ia., Feb. 11, sixty-two years ago and came to Dubuque in 1881 and was united in marriage to Andrew Tinkham, in this city June 19, 1884. They moved to Rickardsville in 1894 where they conducted a general store. To this union were born five children: Two daughters, Mrs. Leo Jochum, Mrs. Fred Schaumburg, Rickardsville; Otis of Pasadena, Cal; Archie of Rickardsville; Clarence of Chadron, Neb; seven grandchildren; one brother, John Schlitzer, Derby Grange, Dubuque county. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid society of the Rickardsville M. E. church, of the Cottage Hill Methodist church. Rev. J. W. Feller will conduct the services at the home at 2 o'clock to the Cottage Hill Methodist church at 2:45 o'clock. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
