Cathy M. Kemp, 44, of 3520 Pennsylvania Ave., formerly of 2923 Timberline, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 main St., where there will be the parish wake service at 4 p.m.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1958, in Dubuque, daughter of Richard A. and Mary Virginia (Weiland) Kemp.

Cathy was a 1977 graduate of Wahlert High School. She was a member of Holy Ghost Parish.

She enjoyed being with children and worked in a daycare center for a time. Cathy loved animals, especially her pets. She enjoyed sewing, needlework and reading.

Surviving are her mother, Mary Virginia Kemp, of Dubuque; a sister, Susan K. (Jeff) Brimeyer, of McHenry, Ill.; a brother, Terry J. (Trish) Kemp, of Dubuque; a niece; and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard A. Kemp, in 1980.

Memorials may be given to Tri-State Dialysis, 1500 Delhi St., Dubuque, Iowa 52001 and the Dubuque Humane Society, 175 N. Crescent Ridge, Dubuque, Iowa 52003.
