CASCADE, Iowa -- Jodi A. Hosch, 43, of 8484 Richland Road, Cascade, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003 at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade, with the Rev. Daniel Krapfl officiating. Burial will be at a later date. There will be no public visitation. The Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Nov. 23, 1959, in Worthington, daughter of Paul and Gladys (Gassmann) Knepper. She married Ronald Hosch on Aug. 23, 1980, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Worthington.

She was a 1978 graduate of Western Dubuque High School, Epworth. Jodi loved to work crossword puzzles and read. She loved cats of any kind.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald Hosch, of Cascade; three children, Wesley, Alex and Paula Hosch, all at home; her parents, Paul and Gladys Knepper, of Dubuque; four brothers, Guy (Laurie) Knepper and Paul (Kerry) Knepper, both of Williamsburg, Glen (Rosemary) Knepper, of Lost Nation, and Todd (Ann) Knepper, of Worthington; four sisters, Jessie (Wayne) Kelley, of Davenport, Jenee (Barry) Brown, of Olathe, Kan., June Knepper, of Cascade, and Heidi (Bill) Kluesner, of Farley; her father and mother-in-law, Harry and Irene Hosch, of Cascade; three sisters-in-law, Diane (Joe) Roberts, of San Jose, Calif., Jane (Gary) Little, of Dublin, Ohio, and Denise (Cliff) Smoluch, of Gilbert Ariz.; two brothers-in-law, Rick (Sue) Hosch and Kevin (Susie) Hosch, both of Cascade; 16 nieces and 15 nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Ida Knepper; her maternal grandparents, Aloysius and Leonette Gassmann; five uncles, Carl, Loras and Walt Knepper and John Gassmann and Merle Lueck; and four aunts, Grace Gassmann, Rosalyn Ludwig, Mary Knepper and Sylvia Fitzgerald

A Jodi A. Hosch Memorial Fund has been established for the American Cancer Society.
