Cyril J. Sullivan, 82, of Mukwonago, Wis., formerly of Dubuque, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Lindengrove Health Care Center, New Berlin, Wis.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Dubuque. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa, where there will be a flag presentation by the American Legion, Dubuque Post 6. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., Dubuque, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m.

Mr. Sullivan worked as a salesman for General Foods and then Rivco of Chicago, from where he retired.

He was born on Nov. 23, 1920, in Dubuque, son of Cornelius and Geniveve (Houlihan) Sullivan. He married Eleanor Higgins at Nativity Catholic Church in 1949; she preceded him in death in 1991.

He graduated from St. Columbkille's, served in the Army Air Force during World War II and then graduated from Loras College in 1949.

He was an avid sports fan and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are five children, Patricia (Rob) Brown, of Santa Barbara, Calif., Timothy (Vivian) Sullivan, of Mukwonago, Susan (Dr. Tom) Krummel, of Los Altos Hills, Calif., Brian Sullivan, of Milwaukee, and Robert (Merideth) Sullivan, of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucina "Cindy" Connery, of Dubuque.

He also was preceded in death by four siblings, Paul and Dorrance Sullivan, Madonna Vyverburg and Clarice Zogg.

Memorials may be given to St. Ann's Rehabilitation Center, Attn.: Sister Edna, 2801 E. Morgan Ave., Milwaukee, Wis. 53207.
