Mrs. Karl "Buzz" (Mildred M.) Reuter, 86, of Iowa Masonic Home, Bettendorf, Iowa, formerly of 2606 Queen St., Dubuque, died at 12:45 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2003, at Iowa Masonic Home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2215 Windsor Ave., Dubuque. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque, where there will be the parish wake service at 5 p.m.

Mrs. Reuter formerly was employed at the Glover Mfg. Co. in Dubuque.

She was born on Aug. 18, 1916, in La Motte, Iowa, daughter of Xavier and Susan (Bechen) Petesch. She married Karl "Buzz" Reuter in 1938, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dubuque; he preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1991.

Millie was a former member of Sacred Heart Parish and Rosary Society. She was an accomplished seamstress and designed and sewed her clothes and her daughter's clothes.

Millie especially liked camping and being on the Mississippi River. She also liked making crafts. Millie loved being with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Clare Lent, of Rock Island, Ill.; two grandchildren, Russell (Kim) Lent, of Bettendorf, and Linda (Nick) Wilson, of Davenport, Iowa; five great-grandchildren, Karly, Katie, and Kelley Lent and Korben and Cresa Wilson; and a brother, Kenneth (Hilda) Petesch, of Dubuque.

She also was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Petesch.

A Mildred M. Reuter Memorial Fund has been established.
