Mr. Jas. McGee, of McGee & Bro., merchants at Farley, was drowned last Wednesday evening at Dyersville, to which place he had gone on business. It appears that he, in company with some friends, went bathig in the river a short distance below the railroad bridge. His body was recovered two hours afterward, in fifteen feet of water. The corpse was conveyed to Farley, where the funeral took place yesterday afternoon, largely attended by numerous friends. The deceased was a young man, about twenty-four years of age, unmarried. His death is a severe loss to that community, and is deeply regretted by all.
