Cain, Joseph –
Joseph Cain, son of Michael and Anne Feeney was born near Bernard, Iowa, Dec. 4, 1880 and died at his home in Lenox Jan. 22, 1945.
He moved at an early age to Corning, Iowa were he engaged in farming with his brother, Silas, and later moved to a farm southeast of Lenox.
He was united in marriage to Rose Kate Krohmer, Feb. 12, 1918. They made their home near Kent and later moved to Lenox where he resided at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Rose, Pfc. Joseph J. Cain, US. Marine Corps, stationed at San Diego, Calif.; Paul and Raymond who reside in Lenox and a daughter, Mrs. R. L. Starry of Cromwell; also one sister, Linnie Cain of Lenox. One daughter preceded him in death. He leaves two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at St. Patrick’s church at 10 p.m. Jan. 25.
Burial was at Lenox cemetery.
