Lawrence J. "Larry" Husemann, 54, of 1214 W. Fifth St., died at 4:40 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2003, at The Finley Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Roselawn Chapel at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, with burial in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, where there will be a Dubuque Mosaic Lodge 125 A.F. and A.M. Masonic Service at 5:30 p.m.

Mr. Husemann formerly worked in maintenance at The Finley Hospital.

He was born on July 14, 1948, in Hazel Green, Wis., son of Henry and Viorene (Bradley) Husemann.

He was a member of the Dubuque Mosaic Lodge 125 A.F. and A.M. and the 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Clinton, Iowa. He was a Vietnam Navy veteran. He enjoyed traveling and fishing and was a loving father and devoted grandfather.

Surviving are three daughters, Julie Barklow and Theresa Fluhr (Clint Moore), both of Dubuque, and Cassandra (Jack) Gorsuch, of Roaring Springs, Pa.; a son, Larry (Brenda) Husemann, of East Dubuque, Ill.; six grandchildren, Nicholas Fluhr, Rachael Anderson, John Nicolas Gorsuch, Rebecca Grace Gorsuch, Abigail Husemann and Michael Husemann; his mother, Viorene Husemann, of Dubuque; 12 brothers and sisters, Dennis Bradley (and friend, Maggi), of Bettendorf, Iowa, Steve Bartmann, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Ronald (Flora) Bradley, of Tipton, Iowa, Brian (Deb) Bradley, of Clinton, Iowa, Raymond (Deb) Garza, of Moline, Ill., John (Linda) Garza, of Elgin, Ill., Rhonda (Roy) Garcia, of Phoenix, Annette Garza, of Eldridge, Iowa, Patti (Darren) Daine, of Dixon, Iowa, Mark Goodwin, of Des Moines, Donna Jacobson, of Le Claire, Iowa, and Rhonda (Jeff) Holle, of Redland, Calif.; and his former wife, Dixie Husemann, of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Husemann; his birth parents, Mary and Everett Bradley; and a brother, Gary Bradley.

A Lawrence J. "Larry" Husemann Memorial Fund has been established.
