Mrs. Joan D. Beversdorf
Mrs. Joan D. Beversdorf, 87, of 1811 Allison Drive, West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Dubuque, died at 2 p.m. Saturday at a West Palm Beach hospital. Her husband Frank W. died May 13, 1966.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Ghost Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at the DeWachter-Haudenshield Funeral Home, 2170 Central Ave., where the scripture wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Beversdorf, the former Joan Gingras, was born in Nice, France. She was a registered nurse and had been employed at St. Joseph's Unit, Mercy Health Center and had also done private nursing prior to her retirement. She was a member of many nursing organizations.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Orsie) Kopnak of West Palm Beach and Mrs. Henry (Joan) Galloway of Hendersonville, N.C.; two sons, Frank H. of Phoenix, Ariz. and Charles of Dubuque, and 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Sylvester G., died Feb. 9, 1982.
