Jennie Beversdorf

Mrs. Sylvester (Jennie) Beversdorf, 77, 2006 Kniest St., died at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 20, 1999, at the Finley Hospital. Services will be at
9:30 a.m. Monday in Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery, with burial in Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Behr Funeral Home, 1941 Main St.

Mrs. Beversdorf formerly worked at Mercy Health Center, Cox Laundry and the Chateau. She last worked at Our Lady of Lourdes.

She was born on May 4, 1921, in Dubuque, daughter of William O. and Irene (Block) Lightfoot. She married Sylvester J.G. Beversdorf on Oct 22, 1938,
in Dubuque, he died Feb 20, 1982.

She enjoyed fishing and camping, especially in Colorado with her brother.

Surviving are a daughter, Donna M. (Bryon "Tobey" Jr.) Bolsinger, of Dubuque. Three sons, Harry J. (Sandra) Beversdorf, Paul G. Beversdorf and Thomas S.(Evie) Beversdorf, all of Dubuque; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Dress and Bernice Armbruster, both of Dubuque; and two brothers, Floyd P. "Pete" (Mary) Lightfoot, of Kersey, Colo., and
Andrew (Shirley) Lightfoot, of Aurora, Iowa.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. John (Viola "Toots") Powell; and two brothers, Arnold and William Lightfoot.

A Jennie Beversdorf Memorial Fund has been established.
