Services for William C. "Ohney" Ohnesorge of Dubuque, Iowa, age 54, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6 at the Ed Siegert-Al Didesch Colonial Home in Dubuque. Burial was in the Dubuque Memorial Gardens, where military rites were accorded by the Dubuque Naval Reserves.

Mr. Ohnesorge, who was born September 20, 1932 *names of his parents were not listed * in Dubuque, Iowa who died Tuesday, March 3, 1987 at Finley Hospital. He was a pipe fitter for 28 years at the John Deere Dubuque Works. He was a member of the Naval Reserve UAW Local 94, Naval Enlisted Reserve Association, and the American Legion, Dubuque Post #6. He was a Korean War Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Sheber; 4 daughters, Mrs. Ronald 9Debra) Hagerty and Rebecca Sawvell of Dubuque, Iowa, Mrs. Jon (Darla) Bruns of Zwingle, Iowa, and Mrs. Edward (Melody) Osburne of Des Moines, Iowa; 2 sons, William C. "Chuck" Ohnesorge of Dubuque, Iowa and Robert M. Ohnesorge of Fort Worth, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Joe (Marion) *See note below* Valley of Harpers Ferry, Iowa and Mrs. George (Pat) Brenner of Dubuque, Iowa and a brother Michael C. Ohnesorge also of Dubuque.

NOTE: Marion's obituary can be found on the Allamakee County, Iowa obituary board site. Researchers should note that in Marion's obituary, it states that she was the daughter of Charles and Margaret Davies and she was adopted by Lawrence and Helen (Gander) Pitzer who lived in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
