Robert C. Culbertson, 52, of 247 E. 16th St., formerly of 506 Third Ave. S. W., Worthington, Iowa, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Leonard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2595 Rockdale Road, with the Rev. Ed Brady officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa, where military rites will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League and Tri-State Vietnam Veterans. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Culbertson worked at Julien Care Facility, the Silver Eagle and most recently at Lowe's.

He was born on May 16, 1948, in Dubuque, son of Donald E. and Clara (Hore) Culbertson. He married Cynthia Crail on March 13, 1978, in Dubuque.

He was a Marine Corps veteran and served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970.

Surviving are his wife, Cynthia, of Worthington; three daughters, Stacey (Seth) Dudgeon and Stephanie Culbertson, both of Dubuque, and Amanda Culbertson, of Worthington, three sons, Daniel Culbertson, of Worthington, and Bob Skahill and Scott Skahill, both of East Dubuque, IL., his parents, Donald and Clara Culbertson of Dubuque, five brothers, Donald W. Culbertson, Tom (Linda) Culbertson, Joe Culbertson, Wally (Julie) Culbertson and Jim Culbertson, all of Dubuque, four sisters, Patricia (Harold) Brandenburg, Bonnie (John) Cate and Pam (Jerry) Bussan, all of Dubuque, and Sue (George) Beaves, of Loves Park, IL; and two grandchildren, Avery and Olivia.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Edward Allen, on July 13, 1999.
