Thomas R. Hill
Thomas R. Hill, 61, 1137 High Bluff St., died at 3:19 p.m. Friday, April 24, 1998, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit.
Chapel services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., with burial in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Hill was formerly employed at Star Brewery/Picketts Brewery for 12 years.
He was born on May 7, 1936, in Perry, Iowa, son of Theodore and Zelma (Moser) Hill. He married Gloria S. Loeffelholz on Aug. 20, 1966 in Dubuque.
He served with the National Guard for several years. He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and a former member of the Teamsters union. He was an active volunteer with the Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed fishing and being with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Hill; a daughter, Grace E. (David) Hepler, of Lincoln, IL; a step-daughter, Nancy R. (Joseph) Lammer, of Dubuque; four step-sons: William D. Albert, of Dubuque, Donald W. (Diane) Albert, of Waukesha, Wis., Dennis R. (Julie) Albert, of Dubuque, and Vincent M. (Shantelle) Albert, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; and a sister, Susan (Terry) Weller, of Garnavillo, Iowa.
