Sister Therese Norine Solon, BVM, 90, of Marian Hall, 1050 Carmel Drive, died at 11:35 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2003, at Marian Hall.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Marian Hall Chapel. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. The Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
Sister was an elementary, secondary and college teacher. She taught at Clarke College and the former St. Joseph Academy, both in Dubuque, and at schools in Burlington and Des Moines, Iowa; San Francisco; Chicago; and Wichita, Kan. She also was a nursing assistant at Marian Hall, Dubuque, and a home health aide and social worker in Chicago.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1912, in Chicago, daughter of James and Nora (O'Donnell) Solon.
She made her first profession of religious vows on March 19, 1935, and her final profession on Aug. 15, 1940.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Jane Solon, of Marietta, Ga.; nieces; and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with whom she shared life for 70 years.
Memorials may be given to the Sisters of Charity, BVM Retirement Fund.
