FARLEY, Iowa - Lucas James Spiegel, 43-day-old son of Nathan and Tammy Spiegel, of 307 First Ave. NE, Farley, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Private memorial services will be Saturday at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating.

He was born on March 4, 2003, in Iowa City, son of Nathan and Tammy (Rauen) Spiegel.

Lucas, you have left our hands, but not our hearts.

Surviving are his parents; his grandparents, Dennis and Virginia "Corky" Rauen, of Farley, and Bill and LuAnn Spiegel, of Epworth; and his great-grandparents, Sylvester and Eileen Rauen, of Bankston, Florence Simon, of Farley, and Bernadine Spiegel, of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Bill and Marie Pitz, LaVern Simon and Al Spiegel.

A Lucas James Spiegel Memorial Fund has been established.
