Mr. Arthur F. Yeager, 89, of 2955 Kaufmann Ave., formerly of Bellevue, Iowa, died at 11:45 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Roselawn Chapel at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, Dubuque, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Bellevue.

Mr. Yeager formerly worked at the Maquoketa (Iowa) Light & Power Co. for nearly 20 years prior to retiring.

He was born on Jan. 4, 1914, in Bellevue, son of William and Mary (Hoffman) Yeager. He married Lucille Eggers on Sept. 24, 1940, in Bellevue.

He grew up in Bellevue and graduated from the Bellevue High School in 1931. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue.

Surviving are his wife, Lucille (Eggers) Yeager; a daughter, Darla (Charles) Isbell, of Dubuque; a son, William (Mary) Yeager, of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Kathy (Ken) LeGrand, Jeff (Tammy) and Todd (Kim) Isbell and Tony Yeager; seven great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herbert Charles in infancy and Harold Yeager; and a sister, Margaret Baker.

In lieu of flowers, an Arthur F. Yeager Memorial Fund has been established by his family.
