Madeline M. Ruden, 81, of 2333 West St., died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Garden Mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Ruden worked at Kut and Kurl Beauty Salon for 14 years and operated House of Hair Fashion for 20 years, prior to her retirement.

She was born on Feb. 10, 1922, in Asbury, Iowa, daughter of Christ and Mary (Dinkler) Weidemann. She married Lawrence Ruden in 1947, at Nativity Catholic Church; he passed away on Aug. 16, 1995.

She graduated from Iowa Cosmetology School in Des Moines.

She was a member of the National Hairdressers and Cosmetology Association for 40 years. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church since 1955, and its Rosary Society.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, three sisters and two infant sons.

Memorials may be given to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
