BALLTOWN, Iowa - Mrs. Donald J. (Dolores B.) Wolf, 73, of 23495 Creek Valley Road, Balltown, died at 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2003, at home, after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Church, Balltown, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the church, where there will be a parish wake service at 3 p.m. The Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1930, in North Buena Vista, daughter of John and Mathilda (Meyer) Juran.

She attended school in North Buena Vista and Earlville.

She married Donald J. Wolf on June 30, 1954, at Immaculate Conception Church, North Buena Vista. They farmed in the Balltown area for many years until they retired in 1983.

She was a member of St. Francis Parish and its Rosary Society.

Dolores was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. She especially enjoyed working in her flower gardens, fishing, feeding the birds and caring for her dogs.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, Donald J. Wolf; five daughters, Cathy A. (Mark) Dupont, of Balltown, Jean M. Delaney and Joan M. (Bob) Dupont, both of Dubuque, and Lorie A. (Jim) Schmitt and Connie J. (Brian) Feldman, both of Sherrill; a son, Randy J. (Lisa) Wolf, of Dallas Center; 17 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Mathilda "Tillie" (Herman) Kloser, of Dubuque; two brothers, Robert (Donna) Juran, of Edgewood, and William (Virginia) Juran, of Holy Cross; nieces and nephews; and two brothers-in-law, Glen "Bud" (Betty) Gibbs, of Farley, and Alfred "Fritz" Roling, of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary Gibbs and Madonna Roling; and two brothers, Joseph and Anthony Juran.

A Dolores B. Wolf Memorial Fund has been established.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque, especially Amy, Jane, Lynn, Barb, Margreet, Anna, Patricia and Rose, for their care and concern for Dolores.
